Nassau County

Nassau County is the farthest north county in Florida and borders Georgia in the north and Duval County to the south. Visiting surfers may want to bring their trunks, wetsuit top, sunscreen, fullsuit in winter, and any board other than a big wave board(though you never know). As always with Florida, there are sharks.

Nassau County includes the city of Fernandina Beach which has many surf spots including Bathhouses, Hooks, and Amelia Island Pier. South of here is Little Talbot Island State Park which has a few breaks and then Huguenot Memorial Park with its North Jetty on Ft. George Island. The North Jetty gets very good, but is localized.
