Indian River County includes the city of Vero Beach. Vero Beach is a town where some very famous professional surfers have come from and is very close to Sebastian which is also in Indian River County. Indian River County has some quality surf spots. When visiting, bring your Florida boards, possibly a step-up, sunscreen, wetsuit top, fullsuit in the winter, and some respect. Like most of Florida there are sharks of which to be wary. There are plenty of amenities in this part of Florida so if need be, you can purchase everything here.
Sebastian Inlet is the most well-known spot in the area and can be a very fun wave. Monster Hole is a good wave that breaks very far out and is very sharky. Wabasso has some shore break barrels. Other breaks include Vero Beach Pier, Riomar Reef, and Seahorse Beach.
